Day Trading - This is referred to positions that are opened as well as closed on the same trading day.
Dealer - A person who acts as a principal or equivalent person to a transaction is known as a dealer. Principals take one side of the position and hope for earning a profit by closing the position with another party in a subsequent trade.
Deficit - When the balance of trade or payments comes out in negative, then it is termed as deficit.
Delivery - When both sides make and take the actual delivery of the traded currencies in an FX trade, it is known as Delivery.
Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) UK House Prices - A monthly survey done by the DCLG in order to measure the price trends in the UK real estate market.
Depreciation - A term used for a drop in the value of a currency as a result of the market forces.
Derivative - A contract whose value changes due to the price movements of a related or an underlying security, future or any other physical instrument. The most common derivative instrument is the Option.
Devaluation - It is a purposeful downward adjustment of the price of a currency that is normally done by an official announcement.
Discount Rate - The interest rate charged by the Federal Reserve Bank, from an eligible depository institution for borrowing short-term funds.
Discretionary Account - The type of account in which the customers authorizes a trading institution to buy and sell currency pairs on his behalf.
