Abandon - Situation when a person decides not to use an available option.
Accommodation Trading - The type of trading that is not competitive. It is used to assist one trader with the help of illegal trades.
Account Statement - Information regarding the operations of the client bill for certain period, at the broker.
Accrued Interest - Unpaid interest between the last interest payment and the current date.
Action Type - A type of rule violation, can be a sales practice violations and trade practice violations.
Actuals - The physical or cash commodity obtained from commodity futures contract.
Add-on Method - Under this method, the interest gets added up on the principal after maturity or dates of interest payments.
Adjudication - A decision made under the lights of the evidences produced.
Adjustment - Official action taken in case of change in internal economic policies or official currency rate to correct a payment imbalance.
Against Actuals - A type of transaction that is used by two hedgers willing to exchange futures for cash positions.
Aggregation - A policy under which all futures positions owned by a particular trader or a group of traders are combined in order to determine reporting status and speculative limit.
Aggressor - A trader who deals with the prevailing market price.
Agricultural Trade-Option Merchant (ATM) - A person or an organization that offers the sale of trade options.
Appreciation - The strengthening in the price of a currency in response to the market demand.
Arbitrage - The advantage taken due to the price discrepancy by buying and selling of similar commodities in various markets.
Arbitration - An argument between various members or between members and customers.
Around - In case the forward premium or discount is at par, then the dealer use this terminology in order to quote, such as, ‘two-two around’ means that the two points would be giver to one of the sides.
Ask rate - This is the proposed rate for the sale of a financial instrument.
Ask - Willingness to towards the sale of a futures contract at a specified price.
Asset Allocation - This step is taken in order to diversify the risk by diving the funds amongst different markets. This investment practice is a step is for risk management and to help the investor meet his targets.
At Best - A dealer instructed to buy or sell a particular asset at the best rate that can be obtained.
At or Better - An instruction to deal at a specified rate or a rate better than that.
