Apple Inc. Experiencing Bad Problems in Best Times

For over ten years of its existence, the technological powerhouse Apple had been considered computer god among mere mortals – thanks mainly to its fearless leader and Chief Executive Officer Steve Jobs. The Cupertino California-based company had undergone a remarkable rise back up the computer ladder, saving itself from near-obliteration and skyrocketing to the top of the charts. Of last count, Apple was the current leader in anything related to consumer electronics with its impressive hold on the laptop and music player industry in the entire world. This rise to the top had also been able to develop a successful reputation thanks to a sleek public relations campaign that was thrice as effective than anything their rival had put out. Clearly, Apple was unstoppable that not even a scandal on options-backdating back in the the year 2006 had been able to knock them off their feet. Thanks to Steve Jobs and his impressive team of public relations specialists, they were able to sidestep such charges and resume their command of the industry.

All Good Things Must Come to an End – Even for Apple

All of this, though, is left in the hands of a ponderous imbalance. This is because last Wednesday, things have definitely started to change – and not for the better. At the moment, the notoriously disciplined public relations operation of Apple had been projected as the gang which was ill-equipped to shoot point blank straight. Six whole months of evading questions regarding the health of their fearless leader had passed, only for the company to announce that their “god among men” shall step down for half a year in order to tend to his ailing condition. Add to this the fact that such a news came a mere nine days  right after Steve Jobs had published his own open letter. In that public document, he mentioned that his recent weight loss was due to a hormonal imbalance – an easily treatable condition. Careful enough as it is, it would certainly mean a lot of money being spent by the company to ensure its reputation. At the moment, officials are pondering over the idea of shareholder lawsuits that would most likely roll in.

Changes Happening Since 2008

The problem of Apple actually started way before even when Jobs was still undergoing a surgery meant to address his pancreatic cancer. Looking terribly gaunt at the last Macworld, the sheer number of participants did not buy the explanation of “common bug” to the haggard-looking Jobs. As a result, shares began sliding and stocks began plummeting, and if Apple wants to do something about it they better act fast and act wisely before everything blows up in their face.
