Green Cards: A Trojan Horse?
There are some concerns over the newly-announced housing price report made by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight. This was that the price of homes has gone up a significant figure sometime between the months of December as well as January. This may also portend that such a market will attempt to make a return to their routine or be normalized by itself. If the case is that it cannot, then a proposal made by Gary Shilling and Richard S. Lefrak the previous week (as stated in the Wall Street Journal) might do the trick. They stated that the price of housing could be made higher if they can give a lot of green cards to interested foreigners who would like to buy homes in the United States of America. One argument made by Edward Glaeser is that we have the housing bubble to thank for having an overstock of houses. These should make us better off had we had the chance to make such a reality by ourselves instead of coming up with a subsidy. Moreover, Glaeser says that attempting to make schemes as artificial and temporary bolsters of housing could be of concern. Based on these terms, one might then see that the proposals of card with houses might yet be another attempt to ward off the medication needed for such an ailment. Then again, there is a flipside to too much housing. The flipside to this is that there will be fewer people living in such homes. There are some perspectives which view America to have and continue to have very few individuals. This had prompted countless immigrants skilled enough to make significant contributions to the economy as well as the society. These skilled immigrants are then seen as leaders when it comes to starting businesses and patenting them. However, the nation still continues to restrict the entrance of these immigrants in the United States of America.
Some Concerns over the Matter
There are still some floating concerns regarding such a thing.
