Working Together is Key to US Crisis Solution - Obama
With an exhilarating victory, Barack Obama mentioned last Saturday that with the presidential elections way behind him he can now focus on America. His agenda is to put aside the political differences of the people and work as one in order to find a solution to the economic crisis. From the Democratic party, Obama had won an astounding victory against his competitor the Republican John McCain. Obama is the first black president-elect in the history of the United States with a primary mission to seek the unification of the people.A Helping Hand
President Obama notes that former President Bush and his wife First Lady Laura Bush have offered help to make the transition a lot easier. This translates to the recognition that in the United States, there are many opportunities to compete in elections and come up with differing ideas – but at the same time know when to come together when serving a common purpose is necessary. This is what President Obama mentioned in his weekly radio address for the Democratic Party. Such a thing is very important, especially at a moment where there are many serious challenges that need to be faced in this particular lifetime. This was clearly highlighted in Obama's speech since he had been well known as a challenger of the Bush administration. This was especially during the time when everyone was concerned about the progressing global economic crisis. President Obama was also quick to make a significant mention about the figures of the US economic market. His figures, released last Friday, shows that America is now experiencing its tenth straight month of increasing job layovers and losses. This now brings the total amount of unemployed American citizens to around ten million.
Millions Struggle To Get By
Obama mentioned that there are now ten million families that are currently struggling to survive on day to day basis – looking for food to eat, paying their bills and holding on to their homes. This, said Obama, must be the reminder that should be imprinted on everyone's minds regarding The economic challenges that face each and every American. This reminder must be what should move people to act swiftly and come up with resolutions. Luckily, with a solid transition advisory board consisting of well regarded business leaders, economic experts and top officials from Washington, Obama is hell bent on discussing the challenges that they face at a meeting last Friday. He and his board are seriously tackling the issues they need to face in order to solve the economic crisis.
